In this session, participants will become familiar with the evolution of the New York State Next Generation Learning Standards and the highlighted modifications that have occurred to improve focus and coherency, while maintaining rigor. The importance of providing students opportunities in the classroom to engage in the eight Standards for Mathematical Practice to strengthen conceptual understanding of content standards will be examined . Presenters will demonstrate how technology can be utilized to support this process, providing individualized instruction that allows for student achievement and engagement.
